Multi Functional Display

The Icom Multi Functional Display MXD-5000 is slim and IPX7 waterproof, allowing water submersion up to one-metre for 30 minutes. The colour LCD's anti-reflective coating is optimized for day and night operation, offering vivid detail even under direct sunlight. The MFD is sturdy and lightweight making it relatively straightforward to flush mount. Each display splits into four customisable panes – organising the radar screen, chart plotter, dual frequency modes and more. The MFD has ports for both USB drives and SD cards, allowing the MarineCommander to display chart information (C-MAP), and backup important data. Connect a compatible VHF radio and AIS unit and the marine commander system will allow DSC calls to be initiated through the main display unit.

Daylight Viewable Display

The 12.1 inch size MFD provides 800x600 pixels resolution. The 900cd/m2 high brightness, colour LCD with anti-reflecting surface coating glass offers bright, vivid indication in detail even in direct sunlight. The colour palette is selectable for day and night mode.

Slim dimension and easy installation

The MFD is slim 69.2mm (2.7 inch) and light weight for easy flush mount installation. The MFD has IPX7 submersible construction for protection from water intrusion. The MFD can be connected with a main processor unit (MPU) using a single cable connection and power is supplied via the MPU.

Simple operation

The MarineCommander offers a simple graphical user interface and intuitive operation with minimum buttons and rotary knob. The display layout can be split into up to 4 panes with easily customised layout with a simple operation.

USB flash drive connection

The MFD has a USB slot to connect with a USB flash drive. Waypoint, track and route information and memo data can be backed up to a USB flash and imported into other MarineCommanders or a PC.
