GRP Surface Technician

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Full time GRP Surface Technician. Full Time. Driving License required. Must be willing to travel. Benefits include 4 weeks paid annual leave, plus bank holidays.

Job Summary:

• Carry out all paint, GRP and polishing work including, wood finish, surface repairs, wooden floor repairs, grain match and veneer repairs; spray painting or large and small areas, GRP repairs and alterations, glass and stainless steel polishing.
• Maintain work area with good housekeeping and organisation.
• Work in line with workflow and reporting system.
• Read and understand the department rules about painting and the handling of hazardous materials and waste.
• Other duties as assigned by Head of operations.

Key Skills:

• Must have experience in one or more of the following disciplines with a willingness to train where required;
Marine GRP Technician, Spray Painter/Paint Finisher, Glass Polisher.
• Ability and willingness to learn along with good performance on the present job.
• Prompt and reliable attendance so we can meet our customer needs.
• Ability to manually move product and materials up to 50 lbs. through regular physical exertion, including
but not limited to climbing, lifting, carrying, pushing pulling and bending.
• Must be a team player working with co-workers, other departments and/or other facilities.
• Must be accurate and detail orientated.
• Must work in a safe manner following safety procedures, including: wearing assigned PPE (Personal
Protective Equipment), completing maintenance requests and communicating hazards to co-workers and
management.
